General Information

SACA is
A non-profit organization of chess players in and around Tucson, AZ. (membership not limited to this location) interested in tournaments, teaching and especially playing chess. Annually elected SACA board members serve this interest. A SACA membership includes tournament announcements and the SACA Piece publication.

SACA Sponsors Scholastic Events
Junior players, parents, teachers and coaches interested in the formation of school teams to participate in league play and statewide tournaments.

SACA Players
SACA has produced national champions, AZ state champions, titled FIDE rated masters, USCF masters, and numerous national scholastic individual and team champions.

SACA Club
The Eastside Chess Club is a SACA affiliate, meeting regularly on Wednesday nights at the Jewish Community Center at River and Dodge in Tucson. Club activities include club rated play, USCF rated events, ECC Championship, informal play and speed chess.

Membership in SACA costs $12 per year for adults, $6 per year for youth under 18. Join Now!
