East Side Chess Club |
|
Eastside Chess Club is open to chess enthusiasts of all ages. The club meets at the Tucson Jewish Community Center (JCC) at River Rd. and Dodge Blvd. on Wednesday nights from 6:00 to 10:00 pm. Click here for map. Membership and Fees Adult club members pay $2 each week they attend. Children under 18 pay $1, and all members of the JCC are free. Every non-JCC player must pay the fee, even those who don't get paired for rated games. Parents and friends who accompany players, but don't play chess themselves, are not expected to pay. The fees go directly to the JCC for the use of the site; the Club doesn't keep it. Games Occasional blitz tournaments are held, along with other special events, such as an annual club championship. Contacts Try it out!! Visitors and guests are welcome to come and check out the club, but we strongly encourage players to join if they will be coming more than two or three times a year.
